Recycle Electronics on Campus on April 19

Students, staff, community members, and business owners are encouraged to recycle their unwanted electronic items from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on April 19 at the Texas Township Campus of Kalamazoo Valley Community College, 6767 W O Ave, Kalamazoo. Green Earth Electronics Recycling will be operating the event.

Accepted items include computers, laptops, monitors, televisions, telephones, cameras, DVD players, cords/cables, printers, toner cartridges, cell phones, refrigerators, air conditioners, appliances, and any other electronic item with a cord.

A hazardous waste fee of $10 will be collected for all monitors and there is a $20 fee for the recycling of any size television. All other items are recycled free of charge. All hard drives are wiped to Department of Defense specifications or shredded.

Business owners who plan to recycle electronic equipment are encouraged to preregister by emailing pickup@greenearth1.com or calling 269.326.1232.
