Alumni+ Art Show Winners Announced

The winners of Kalamazoo Valley’s Alumni+ Art Show were announced during a special program at the college’s Center for New Media on its Arcadia Commons Campus downtown Kalamazoo during Art Hop on Friday, April 6.

The judges were Director of Facilities and Construction Management at Kalamazoo Valley Community College, Dannie Alexander: Executive Director of Education for the Arts Bryan Zocher; and Norman Hamann, and architect from Diekema/Hamann Architecture and Engineering.

The winners were:

All entries will be on display throughout the Center for New Media during the month of April. This juried art show provides an opportunity for Kalamazoo Valley alumni to showcase their works and was open to alumni who had successfully completed at least one class at Kalamazoo and who were not currently enrolled in any classes at the college. Entries were accepted in all media, including video, mixed media, sculpture, painting, drawing and animation.

According to Center for New Media Director Tom Hamann, show judges are area professional who come from a variety of disciplines and whose expertise enables them to deliver expert and impartial determinations.
