Here's a handy list of answers to commonly asked questions regarding the campus bookstores.

When will the bookstores have course materials for fall classes?

Fall course materials will be available around the second week of August.

When can I use my financial aid in the bookstore?

Financial aid can be used for purchases in the bookstore from August 27 through September 20.

What can I buy with my financial aid?

Financial aid can be used to buy any course materials including books, e-books, course packs, educational supplies like calculators, backpacks, flash drives, notepads, binders, writing tools - pretty much anything you need to be successful in class!

What is the bookstore website address?

Find the bookstore on the web at bookstore.kvcc.edu.

What can I access through the bookstore website?

Use the bookstore website to find book information, store hours, and shop for course materials and spirit wear.

What is your return policy?

Purchases can be returned within five business days of purchase. Books can be returned within five days of the start of the class.

Can I rent books?

Yes! You can rent dozens of different books. You can rent with financial aid, but we’ll still need a credit card to secure your purchase. For many classes, you also have the option of purchasing used books from the campus bookstores. There’s a helpful book pricing comparison tool on the bookstore website.

Do you have Electronic Books?

YES! VITALSOURCE is our digital partner and we have a lot of books available for download to any device! And they cost much less than traditional books. You can download VITALSOURCE E-books right off our website at bookstore.kvcc.edu.

Can my mom/sister/BF/cousin/dog pick up my books using my financial aid? Sorry, no. Financial aid is federally funded and the only person who can access your financial aid money is you. Bring your KVCC ID and your class schedule to the bookstore and we’ll take care of the rest.

What is Book Buy Back?

At the end of each semester, you can bring your books and some other course required items (calculators, I-clickers, etc.) into the store and we’ll pay you cash for them.
