The college is closed for business January 22nd. All campuses including the museum are closed. All classes (regardless of teaching and learning modality: face-to-face virtual or hybrid/blended) and college activities are canceled for the morning afternoon and evening. Employees need not report unless instructed by their supervisor.

Kalamazoo Valley to Observe Constitution Day

Constitution Day events are scheduled for Sept. 17 and 18 at Kalamazoo Valley Community College.

From 11 a.m. to noon on Sept. 17 in Room 1330 at the Texas Township Campus, political scientist Barb Taraskiewicz and historian Mark Sloan will discuss "Diversity and Inclusion Issues and the Constitution," specifically addressing gerrymandering and the upcoming Michigan ballot proposal. They’ll present the talk again in Room 128 at Anna Whitten Hall on Sept. 18 from 10 to 11 a.m.

At the Texas Township Campus on Monday, Sept. 17, political scientist Rick Brill and historian Tom Hughes will discuss the creation, development and meaning of the Constitution. Their talk will be held in Room 4240 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
