October 12 Pancake Breakfast Supports Culinary Scholarships

The public is invited to enjoy a hearty pancake breakfast at the KVCC Foundation’s student scholarship pancake breakfast on Friday, October 12 from 8 to 10 a.m. in the Culinary and Allied Health Building on Kalamazoo Valley’s Bronson Health Living Campus.

“We will be serving pancakes to benefit the culinary student scholarship program,” said Culinary Director Brian Hay. Fruit toppings and traditional maple syrup and butter will be available.

According to Steve Doherty, executive director of the KVCC Foundation, the need for financial aid among students has continued to rise steadily. “The pancake breakfast is a great way to enjoy good food and contribute to a worthy cause,” Doherty said. The minimum suggested donation is $10 per person.

The Pancake Breakfast will be served buffet style in the college’s Havirmill Café and 418 Restaurant, 418 East Walnut Street in downtown Kalamazoo. Parking is available on site or at metered locations on the street.
