November 1 Pancake Breakfast Supports Culinary Scholarships

The public is invited to enjoy a hearty pancake breakfast at the KVCC Foundation’s student scholarship pancake breakfast on Friday, November 1 from 8 to 10 a.m. in the Marilyn J. Schlack Culinary and Allied Health Building on Kalamazoo Valley’s Bronson Health Living Campus.

“We will be serving pancakes to benefit the culinary student scholarship program,” said KVCC Foundation Director Steve Doherty. Fruit toppings and traditional maple syrup and butter will be available.

According to Doherty, the need for financial aid among students has continued to rise steadily. “The pancake breakfast is a great way to enjoy good food and contribute to a worthy cause,” he said. The minimum suggested donation is $10 per person. Advance tickets are available through the Foundation office at Texas Township or from administrative assistant Vicki Warkoczeski in Room 3380. Email her at vwarkoczesk@kvcc.edu or call 269.488.4539.

The pancake breakfast will be served buffet style in the college’s Havirmill Café and 418 Restaurant, 418 East Walnut Street in downtown Kalamazoo. Parking is available on site or at meters on the street.
