Tracy Labadie Named New Dean of Business, Industrial Trades and Public Services

Tracy Labadie, Ed.D., has been named the new Dean of Business, Industrial Trades and Public Services at Kalamazoo Valley Community College it was announced by Provost and Vice President for Instruction and Student Services Peter Linden, Ph.D. She begins her new role at Kalamazoo Valley on Jan. 20.

“We are delighted to welcome Tracy to the Kalamazoo Valley community,” Linden said. “Her professional experience prepares her well to work collaboratively both inside the college and with local employers.”

Dr. Labadie joins Kalamazoo Valley from Lansing Community College where she served as Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs working in that capacity since June 2017. Her professional career path began in the private sector as an accountant and internal auditor. Then, while Controller at Glen Oaks Community College, she discovered how much she enjoyed teaching as an adjunct instructor of accounting. This experience inspired her to pursue an academic career serving as Assistant Dean of Assessment and Academic Services at Glen Oaks.

She earned an Ed.D. in Community College Leadership from Ferris State University.
