Honors Program Early Application Deadline is Jan. 31

The Honors Program is a small community of highly motivated students who want the most from their college experience at Kalamazoo Valley Community College. The Honors curriculum is reading and writing intensive with courses that aim to prepare graduates to transfer to top-notch colleges and universities. Successful applicants are expected to graduate from Kalamazoo Valley Community College before they transfer. The Kalamazoo Valley Community College Honors Program provides scholarship opportunities for the 2020 high school graduating class based on students’ academic achievement. Honors Program students spend a considerable number of hours each week preparing their assignments.

APPLICATION PROCESS
Students must have one of the following to apply:
• A high school GPA of 3.5 or higher in college preparatory subjects. A written explanation must be submitted for any grade below a 3.0.
• A minimum ACT composite score of 27.
• A minimum new SAT composite score of 1290.
• Complete an application essay.
