Entries Needed for November Student Showcase Art Hop

Kalamazoo Valley Community College art and art and new media students are encouraged to participate in the Arts Council's November 6, 2020 Art Hop - The Student Showcase.

LOCATIONS
The exhibition will be uploaded to Facebook on November 6, 2020 5–6:30 p.m. and to the Arts Council website under the Art Hop page approximately 10 days following the Facebook event.

PROCESS FOR SUBMISSION
Email your instructor and Charlie Tomlinson, event coordinator, regarding your intention to submit work. Include in your email the following information:

Subject line - November 6, 2020 Art Hop Student Showcase
Content of your email needs to include:

Your full name, as you wish to appear in the show

Your college/university

Your art medium

A phone number to contact you in case email is not working.

Charlie Tomlinson will send you a link to a drop box folder to put the following information:

A word document with your name and artist bio (not to exceed 250 words)

A word document with your name and the artist statement (not to exceed 250 words)

A word document with the label for your work:

Artist name

Title (in italics), year produced

Medium

Size (if applicable)

A jpeg or mp4 of each of your work.

If you have a link to video files from sources like YouTube or Vimeo, they can be embedded, but please be aware that the Arts Council will need access to those files for at least a year. Please label the file with your last name and title of work.

Note: Each artist will be allowed a maximum of 5 pieces, 2-3 are desirable.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION All materials must be in the drop box by Friday, October 23, 2020.
