May 2 Drive-Thru Celebration

To honor its May 2021 graduates as well as those students who attained their degrees last spring, summer, and fall, Kalamazoo Valley hosted a May 2, 2 p.m. Drive-Thru Celebration in the Texas Township Campus parking lot. The event was held as an alternative to the traditional gathering at Western Michigan University's Miller Auditorium. A total of 153 graduates participated.

Graduates remained in their cars to receive their diploma covers and hear remarks by college President Dr. L. Marshall Washington, Board of Trustees chairperson Lucinda Stinson and provost Paige Eagan.

Radio station anchor Dave Benson of WKMI AM 1360 broadcast the event live. It was also shown on Public Media Network.
