Important Changes to Financial Aid

Today, July 14, the Department of Education simplified the financial aid process for many students by waiving most verification requirements. This means we are no longer requiring Dependent or Independent Verification Worksheets. We are also no longer requiring 2019 tax documents for students selected for verification.

The Financial Aid office still must collect Identity Verification, Statement of Educational Purpose and High School Completion Status, if requested.

This new policy is effective immediately.

Please note, the office may need to request that student's submit verification documents on case-by-case basis according to consistently applied institutional policies, specifically in the event of conflicting information. Students will receive individual notification and an advisor will assist you in providing documents, if needed.

If you receive financial aid, this change will make the process much easier! If you have questions, please contact the Financial Aid office at finaid@kvcc.edu or 269.488.4340.
