In the event of a short-term absence or disability of the President where the President is temporarily unable to perform the duties of the office, the President, upon notification to the Board, shall appoint an appropriate staff member to fulfill those duties which must reasonably be discharged or performed during the temporary absence or disability and shall inform the Board of such temporary appointment.

In the event of an extended absence or disability of the President, the Board of Trustees shall designate an acting President.
