Parent PLUS Loan

PLUS loans are unsubsidized loans for the parents of dependent students. PLUS Loans help pay for education expenses up to the cost of attendance minus all other financial assistance. Interest is charged during all periods. PLUS loans are subject to credit approval. PLUS borrowers must be the student's biological or adoptive parent or the student's stepparent, if the biological or adoptive parent has remarried at the time of application.

The student must have a completed FAFSA on file with KVCC. Additionally, all financial aid packaging requirements must be complete before applying for a PLUS loan. The student must also agree to the KVCC Pre-Loan Certification information on their MyValley Account.

Parent/stepparents can apply online by logging into studentaid.gov and selecting "Apply for PLUS." Parents must also complete an MPN for a Parent PLUS loan on studentaid.gov.
