Become a Donor

You can make a difference in the life of a Kalamazoo Valley student the following ways:

Annual Fund

A donation to the Annual Fund helps provide the highest level of educational opportunities for students. Your gifts help keep college affordable for more than 500 students annually.

Gifts of Cash

The most common form of giving is a gift of cash. Unless otherwise designated, its use is generally undesignated. Undesignated funds are allocated to the Annual Fund to support student scholarships.

Matching Gifts

Many companies have established matching-gift programs in support of education. Through this type of giving, employers match the donations made by a current or retired employee. Some may also cover an employee's spouse. To find out more, contact the company's Human Resources Department.

Endowment

An endowed gift is an investment in a permanent fund which earns money for the college every year thereafter. The principal from the endowment remains invested and the earnings are used to fund the yearly award.

Consider Making a Planned Gift

A planned gift, also known as a legacy gift, is any gift that is part of a donor's overall financial and/or estate planning. Making a gift to the Kalamazoo Valley Community College Foundation, regardless of your income or age, is a powerful way to open doors to education for generations of Kalamazoo Valley students to come. Planned Giving lets you defer your gift as part of your overall financial planning process and many options cost you nothing during your lifetime. Other options provide income to you or allow you to make a small investment during your lifetime and then provide a larger gift in the future through your estate.
