Feb. 12, 2024
Greetings Students!
We have all kinds of events coming up that you might enjoy. The schedule includes new programming at the Kalamazoo Valley Museum and the Black Artists' Exhibit at the college's Center for New Media. Later in the month, the college will host a special program, "African Americans and the Arts," on Tuesday, Feb. 27, from 3 to 5 p.m. in Room 4240 at the Texas Township Campus, in observance of the national theme for Black History Month 2024. The event will feature performances of local African American actors, artists, musicians and provide a shared connection to the rich African American cultural heritage in Kalamazoo.
Additionally, many college clubs and organizations are also holding regular meetings. You might learn something new or even make new friends. A calendar of activities is available on the homepage of the college website. I hope that you will take advantage of all that the college has to offer.
As I walk through our campuses and see you in the hallways, I continue to be amazed by your determination and flexibility as you complete your education. Please remain resilient and positive. If you need assistance, do not hesitate to reach out to your faculty members or to Student Development Services. We are here to help you achieve your goals.
Sincerely,
L. Marshall Washington, Ph.D.
President
