Texas Township Campus
Texas Township Campus
Kalamazoo Valley Community College’s original and largest campus is located in Texas Township, 1.5 miles south of the 9th Street exit on I-94. Designed by Alden Dow, a student of Frank Lloyd Wright in 1967, the 600,000-square-foot main building houses more than 55 classrooms, 12 labs, nine computer labs, a two-story library, bookstore, dental hygiene clinic, auditorium and a full-service cafeteria. A full range of student support services are available including admissions, records, registration, transcripts requests, pay station, counseling, financial aid, tutoring services and student activities.
An Olympic-sized swimming pool and Wellness and Fitness Center can also be found on the main campus and are available for student use. The college’s athletic teams, including men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, softball and volleyball all compete at the Texas Township Campus. The 187-acre wooded campus also includes three courtyards, well-landscaped grounds, athletic fields, tennis courts and cross country trails.
In response to the growing need for hairstylists and personal care professionals, Kalamazoo Valley Community College established the Kalamazoo Valley School of Cosmetology and Barbering in 2024 renovating nearly 10,000 square feet of space on the Texas Township Campus.
