PTK Organizes Donation Drive for Community

Kalamazoo Valley Community College's chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the international honor society for two-year colleges, recently began a donation drive to collect hats, mittens and scarves for Kalamazoo Public School students.

On Tuesday, Nov. 15, the group met at the Texas Township Campus to craft snowman themed collection bins which are now distributed at multiple locations throughout the college's campuses and across the community. The collection drive is ongoing and runs through Dec. 1. All community members are encouraged to drop-off new or lightly used hats, scarves or mittens at a convenient location.

Donation bins are currently available at the Texas Township Campus, Anna Whitten Hall located downtown, the Marilyn J. Schlack Culinary and Allied Health Building and the Kalamazoo Valley Museum. Bins are also available at Centerwell Home Healthcare in Portage and at the Kalamazoo Public Library's central location.
