Fall 2023 Fire Academy Application Period Opens April 1

Kalamazoo Valley Community College's Fire Science Academy application period opens April 1 and will remain available until capacity is reached. Applications being accepted will be for the Fall 2023 Academy set to begin in August.

The Firefighter I and II Academy provides quality training that prepares graduates for careers as certified firefighters in the state of Michigan. Offered as part of the college's accredited Fire Science Program, the academy equips students with thorough competencies and valuable experience, including live fire evolutions and flashover training.
