Learning Center Summer Hours

The Kalamazoo Valley Learning Center's goal is to assist students in their journey to becoming better independent learners. As you start your summer semester, our staff is ready to assist you at the Texas Township Campus or virtually in our Zoom rooms.

Learning Center tutors are available to assist in the following areas:

Writing Center:
The Writing Center tutors assist students with any paper from any class. They will also assist you with any part of the writing process from gathering your ideas to your finished paper. The tutors will work with you so that you become better editors of your own work.

In-person drop-in tutoring sessions are available at the Texas Township Campus in the Learning Center, Room 2220 the following days and times:
Monday: 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Tuesday: 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Wednesday: 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Thursday: 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Virtual drop-in tutoring sessions are available through Zoom the following days and times:
Monday: 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Tuesday: 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Wednesday: 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Thursday: 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday: 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Math Center:
Summer is a great time to focus on that math class that you need. Our tutors definitely believe that "Math is Fun" and they will help you realize that math is also fun (or at the very least how math is beneficial to you). Visit the Math Center every step of your way!

Sunday: 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Course Specific Center:
Course Specific Tutors assist students with topics that are neither math nor writing related. Tutoring is offered for American Sign Language (ASL), Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Geosciences, Physics, Political Science, Spanish and Study Skills.

Tutoring for these classes is available in-person by appointment at the days and times in the table below. To make an appointment with a Course Specific Tutor, please email or call 269.488.4397.
