Developed with input from industry leaders, Kalamazoo Valley's nationally accredited program continues to garner recognition as one of the country's leading academies. Over the years, the WTTA has attracted students from across the U.S. and around the world.
As the market for clean energy continues to expand, demand for certified technicians remains prevalent. On average, wind turbine technicians in the U.S. earn roughly $37,850 - $80,170 per year and work in an industry with a robust career outlook.
All four graduates have received multiple job offers prior to graduation. WTTA certified professionals are highly sought employment prospects and work across North America with reputable industry leaders. Technicians experience active careers and travel throughout the country as necessary to accommodate employer needs.
Students attend full time, eight hours per day Monday through Friday for 24 weeks. The six-month instruction involves thorough applied competencies necessary for excelling in the workforce. Trainees interactively learn hands-on skills while enjoying an education constructed to simulate real-world environments that develop readiness for the competitive, in-demand industry.
The next available academies begin in July 2023 and January 2024. Applications are now being accepted. For more information, visit kvcc.edu/academics/wind.
