During Vibe Fest, students can get connected with resources for success as well as network and enjoy good vibes and fun. Vibe Fest takes place:

"Vibe Fest is a great way to kick-off the school year, not only for students, but also for staff and faculty," said Nkenge Bergan, Kalamazoo Valley associate vice president for student development services. "It's a great way to see one another after a long summer. We will have a special visit from our mascot as well as a wide variety of vendors who can connect students to support and resources to help them succeed throughout the school year."
Vibe Fest 2023 will feature a number of vendors such as credit unions, financial support services, childcare resources and dispute resolution centers. Celebrations will include giveaways, such as college swag and apparel, free food, as well as live DJ music and a 360-selfie booth.
Students will also be able to listen to a motivational speech by Demarra West, life coach, motivational speaker, licensed therapist and founder of Be Well Beautiful Woman - a local organization dedicated to female empowerment, wellness and success. West will speak live on Sept. 6 and the recorded session will be available for viewing at the Sept. 7 and 12 events.
The college's new cougar mascot will make its first official debut at Vibe Fest. Students will have the opportunity to interact with the mascot and can submit suggestions for its name.
