Community Education Smartphone Photography Class Offered Nov. 4

Kalamazoo Valley Community College is offering a smartphone photography class on Nov. 4 from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the college's Center for New Media in downtown Kalamazoo. The course will give participants an opportunity to learn to edit, enhance and organize photo collections to improve accessibility and functionality of editing and accessing photos on smartphone devices. The class costs $35.

Instructor Aubrey Rodgers will present participants with hands-on learning and applied techniques. Those who register must come prepared with their own charged smartphones with available memory to store pictures. Attendees are also asked to bring their own phone cables to connect to computers. All other materials will be provided.

The program will include discussion for common questions, demonstrations, as well as an interactive photo lab and in-camera photo editing session. The class will later conclude with a segment for questions and answers.
