Donate Blood on Nov. 6 to Receive a $10 Gift Card

Kalamazoo Valley Community College and its chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the international honor society for two-year colleges, is collaborating with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive at the Marilyn J. Schlack Culinary and Allied Health Building in downtown Kalamazoo. The event will take place Nov. 6 from 10 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.

Those who donate blood to the American Red Cross from Oct. 21 - Nov. 9 will receive a $10 gift card by email. Donations made during the period will also be entered for a chance to win a $5,000 prize.

All community members are welcome to schedule a time to donate blood. Interested donors are asked to register by going to redcrossblood.org and entering the sponsor code "KVCC" in the appointment search box. Appointments are required for blood donations during this event.

The November blood drive is the fourth event this year to be conducted in collaboration with the college, its PTK chapter and the American Red Cross.
