College's PTK Chapter Inducts New Members
Kalamazoo Valley Community College's chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the international honor society for two-year colleges, held an induction ceremony for new members on Oct. 25 in the Theater at the college's Texas Township Campus at 6:30 p.m. The student organization also swore in five new chapter officers to serve as the presidents and vice presidents for the 2023 - 2024 academic year. Those officers include:
- Jean Mupupuni, co-president
- Christie White, co-president
- Nicholas Burrill, vice president of service
- Kasey Hudon, vice president of scholarship
- Connor Reeves, vice president of communications

PTK provides members with access to exclusive scholarships and professional development opportunities. The honor society has more than 3.8 million members around the world with nearly 1,300 chapters in 11 countries. The organization's hallmarks of scholarship, leadership, fellowship and service provide a foundation for supplemental enrichment experiences while in the pursuit of higher education.
Each year, Kalamazoo Valley's chapter organizes multiple community service projects in collaboration with the college. These projects provide members with exclusive learning opportunities and professional enrichment experiences.
To qualify for membership in Kalamazoo Valley's chapter, enrolled students must complete a minimum of 12 credit hours at the college with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. To learn more about PTK, email .
