Donate to Charity Walk to Raise Money for Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes
Kalamazoo Valley Community College's chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the international honor society for two-year colleges, is hosting its third annual Charity Walk to collect donations for Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes. The event will be held April 26 at the Texas Township Campus at 3:45 p.m. Check in begins at 3:30 p.m. at the Tower Entrance.
All community members are welcome to participate and are encouraged to invite friends and family to join. Registration is $20 and includes a free T-shirt. Donors may choose to contribute additional funds when registering and are not required to attend the event.
Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes offers valuable community enrichment through free food programs and is also a partner of the college's Valley Food Share initiative. Launched in 2019, Valley Food Share offers free distributions of locally sourced goods from Kalamazoo Valley's Food Innovation Center as well as food donated from Loaves & Fishes.
Last year, the college's PTK chapter raised more than $1,300 in donations for Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes during the second annual walk on May 11. This year, the student organization seeks to collect at least $1,500.
