Program Information

Computer information systems is the study of the application of computers in a business environment with an emphasis on the analysis and design of business information systems. This program differs from computer science in that it focuses more on the application of software programs rather than their design.

Transfer Notes: This degree program is designed to be a transfer option for a computer information systems major, often termed information systems or information management. Studies will focus on design, development, management, and use of computer-based information systems. Other related majors include business analytics, electronic business marketing, health informatics and information, and telecommunications and information management.
