GUIDED PATHWAYS

At Kalamazoo Valley, we know that choosing a college program can be overwhelming. You might have a good idea of what you want to achieve, but not know the best way to start. We also understand that each student needs a plan that provides the right college/life balance. We’re here to help!

Over the past year, we have launched a college-wide process to transform our curriculum and strengthen our support services for students. This process includes new planning tools and advising activities designed to provide every student with clear, flexible program options. Each of the pathways in this booklet has been designed by a team of faculty and staff at Kalamazoo Valley to provide a great mix of educational skills and experiences that will prepare you for advanced coursework at top universities and meaningful opportunities for employment in a changing world.

Once you have selected a pathway, you will work with a pathway advisor or counselor to help establish a program plan. You will be able to see all of the coursework and other requirements needed to complete your program. If you need to make changes, we will work with you to stay on-track for success. Our faculty and staff will also help you build important relationships with employers and universities.

Our pathways have been arranged into sets of related programs.

These pathways are:
Art & New Media/Applied Art and Media Technologies
Business
Education/Human Service/Social Science
English/Humanities/Liberal Arts
Health Careers
Industrial Trades
Public Service
Science and Engineering
Sustainable Food Systems
