Program Information
The Law Enforcement Training Center licensure program provides a broad-based general education along with the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES) Basic Law Enforcement Licensure. Students will learn police organization, criminal investigation, traffic control, delinquency, criminal law, and enforcement procedures. Upon meeting graduation and MCOLES requirements the student may be eligible to take the mandatory licensure examination given by MCOLES. After successful completion of these courses through the Police Academy, credit will be articulated. Contact the Academy office for further information at 269.353.1260.
