Program Information

Architecture is the study of the design of buildings, communities, and open areas. The bachelor’s degree prepares students for future work in a myriad of areas. After graduating, some students choose to pursue graduate studies in a professional Master of Architecture program in order to prepare for architectural licensure. Some pursue graduate study in related fields, including landscape architecture, engineering, art, construction, urban planning, urban design, or historic preservation.

Transfer Notes: This degree program is designed to be a transfer option for bachelor’s degree in architecture. There are many options available for further graduate study upon completion of the bachelor’s degree, including landscape architecture, urban planning, urban design, or historic preservation. Admission to the bachelor’s degree program is competitive and may require any of the following: quality of previous academic education, evidence of professional commitment and/or statement of purpose, employment record, letters of recommendation, and portfolio review.
