Program Information
Mathematics involves the study of quantities, arrangements, change, spaces, and patterns. It is used in an extremely wide range of disciplines, such as physics, chemistry, engineering, economics, biology, finance, risk analysis, cryptography, statistics, and social sciences.
Transfer Notes: This degree program is designed to be a transfer option for a bachelor’s degree with a major in mathematics. Within the mathematics discipline area it is possible to major in applied mathematics, general mathematics, secondary education mathematics, or statistics. Students interested in the applied mathematics program option must select one of the following areas to apply mathematical skills (minors): biological sciences, chemistry, computer science, physics, or statistics. Elective course choices should be based on selected major and minor options.
