Dale B. Lake Auditorium
Since its doors opened over 40 years ago, Dale B. Lake Auditorium has been host to a diverse array of activities including academic classes, notable lectures, dance performances, graduations, as well as the college's Artist Forum performance series.
The auditorium, occupying space within the college's Texas Township Campus, was designed by Alden B. Dow, a student of Frank Lloyd Wright. With seating for up to 460 guests, ample free parking, and conveniently located along I-94 and in close proximity to US 131, I-69 and I-80, the Dale B. Lake Auditorium is the perfect location for your next event.

Dale B. Lake Auditorium Guidelines for Use ▼
- Requests to use the Dale B. Lake Auditorium must be made with six weeks advance notice.
- If you arrive prior to your scheduled time you are welcome to wait in the commons areas; however, staff will not be able to permit you into the space or assist you until your scheduled arrival time.
- Food and drink are prohibited in the Auditorium, with the exception of bottled water or water with a closed top.
- All scenery must be approved by the Event Services Office. All scenery must be constructed safely and be flame retardant.
- An event plan, including timeline and details of the event must be submitted to the Event Services Office a minimum of two weeks prior to the event.
- Only approved Kalamazoo Valley staff are permitted in the sound booth.
- Only participants and crew are permitted backstage and in dressing rooms. Attendees must remain in commons areas or auditorium seating.
- Attendees must remain seated at all times, with the exception when leaving the Auditorium or walking onto the stage. Only assigned staff assisting with seating are permitted to stand near doors during the event.
- Users and attendees are expected to respect the facilities and the academic atmosphere, to include but not limited to sitting only one person to each seat, not putting feet up on seats and not sitting on stairs.
- It is the responsibility of the user to ensure all attendees are aware of use regulations and guidelines. In certain instances, if users are not complying with fire code related regulations or guidelines, staff may have to stop the event until users come into compliance.
- Processing Fee: A $100 non-refundable processing fee is due upon return of signed facility use agreement as a means of reserving the facilities. Minor changes can be made to the agreement; however, changes that require a significant revision to the original agreement may incur an additional $25 non-refundable processing fee for each.
- Payment Information: Full payment is required a minimum of 30 days prior to the event or as agreed to in the facility use agreement. If payment is not received by due date the event will be canceled.
- Cancellation by Renter: Cancellation by the renter, for each event, including individual multi-date events, must be submitted in writing (email is sufficient) to the Event Services Office at .
- If the renter cancels the event with more than 30 days advance notice the event will be canceled and any payment will be refunded to the renter.
- If the renter cancels the event with 5 - 29 days advance notice the event will be canceled and the user will be required to pay a cancellation fee of 25% of balance due on facility use agreement.
- If the renter cancels the event with less than 5 days advance notice the event will be canceled and the user will be required to pay the balance due in full.
