KVAAP has helped me with tuition, books, and fees for transportation and has provided a monthly stipend for its members of the program who are on top of the minimum of what they ask of us to do. This program has allowed me to grow without giving up on me because I was not quite there to meet the requirements of joining. They have helped me figure out what to major in for the time being despite their pathways. They also provide and introduce resources that you would be interested in or need, like the strengths test. I joined the KVAAP program because I could not afford the expensive tuition at Western Michigan University. Little did I know that KVAAP would do much more than just save me money! KVAAP has helped me realize my strengths and how to use them effectively in my day-to-day life. My favorite part of the program would have to be the weekly seminars. These seminars connect everyone in the program and really bring everything together. It’s great to be a part of the KVAAP community. The counselors and instructors really care about each student’s success. If you ever feel lost or need help, they are always willing to put in the time and effort. Being a part of the KVAAP program means that you get PAID to go to college! Can you imagine being paid to get an education that helps better yourself?
