Harland Fish

Harland has been using Scribblar for online office hours for quite some time. Scribblar is a real-time online whiteboard, synchronous audio and text chat online tool. Scribblar's whiteboard allows Harland to illustrate physics problems, show forumlas, images from external sources, and a connection to Wolfram allows him to import information for his students.

He uses Cel.ly for online texting to answer quick questions from students about their lab work. The students ask to be admitted to their group and then he adds them. It is not a required interacton but it does help with communication. The students never have his phone number.

He uses Socrative as a clicker and review for quizzes. He doesn't use it for direct assessment but for formative assessment and 'drill'.

Harland uses "U-can-book-me" to schedule appointments for Skype for audio conferencing. Sometimes he uses Scribblar during Skype sessions.
